Gender Pay Gap Report 2022

Comfy Group’s 2022 gender pay gap report celebrates the total closure of the gender pay gap in 2022, demonstrating its significant progress towards diversity, equality and inclusivity in our workplace.  Since the Comfy Group started their gender pay gap reporting 6 years ago, Comfy have reporting a steady decrease in its gender pay gap, from a starting point of +16.9% in favour of males to its newly published report now being in favour of females at -0.85%.  Comfy Group is also proud of its median gender pay gap, demonstrating a negative gender pay gap of -0.71% in favour of females.  In the 12 months preceding 2022, bonus payments were paid to all employees, subject to 6 month’s qualifying service to thank all staff for their exceptional efforts during another demanding and successful year.  This is also a 0% median bonus gap with equal value paid to both full and part-time workers.

Being a reputable company and operating with integrity and trust is part of the Group’s core values and we are passionate about treating our employees fairly and equally, which includes our approach to equality and pay.  We conduct regular pay and benefit audits to ensure that we always pay employees equally for the same or equivalent work and have a regular 1:1 process to ensure opportunities for training and promotion can be accessed by everyone.

This year, we are proud to be shortlisted as finalists for the North-West Family Business Awards, as we continue to embed our Comfy ‘Respect’ Values into the business and demonstrate that we are an inclusive employer where women can excel.  The Group operates standardised pay rates in all our work areas, which means that pay is always equal between genders. We are confident that by treating our employees fairly, equally and with respect we can stand out in the community and continue to make our employees and customers proud.

This report sets out narrative to explain our Gender Pay Gap, which shows the calculated differences between amounts paid to men and women at the snapshot date of April 2022 and the 12 months preceding.  I confirm the data reported is accurate.  In accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017, Comfy Quilts has prepared its gender pay gap results and published them in line with Gender Pay Gap Reporting mandatory requirements.
